Lucky Duck enjoys Badgley Mischka from the 5th row at Lincoln Center

Badgley Mischka at Lincoln Center

Lucky Duck had a great seat at the Badgley Mischka show during Fashion Week in New York City.

In fact, we were two rows ahead of where I sat last year. Badgley Mischka is my favorite brand. It is absolutely beautiful, and I connect with their glamorous old-Hollywood style. Mark Badgley and James Mischka are some of the loveliest people I’ve ever met. And so is everyone related to their brand with whom I’ve come in contact.

How this photo happened

Mark and James with Shannon Harms

Please allow me to skip ahead to the end of the show, for just a quick sec. Kristen and I went backstage to say congratulations and compliment their amazing Spring 2012 line. When I saw a break in the crowd, I reintroduced myself to James and asked if I could please get a picture. He said yes and told me that I looked beautiful. Just then, Mark was grabbed by Zappos Couture for an interview. James said, “Marco, picture!” Mark actually paused his conversation with Zappos, came over for the picture, and said, “You look great!” Buy Badgley Mischka on Zappos Couture.

I was shocked. To me, this stands as a testament to how humble, kind, and gracious Mark and James really are. It’s so clear that they love and appreciate their customers, and that goes a long way. I will happily buy from their new line. In fact, while in New York, I invested in a gorgeous pair of Badgley Mischka chandelier earrings at Henri Bendel.

A few more excellent photos backstage, and then on to the show

Shannon Harms and LeeAnn Rimes

It was awesome to see an A-lister celebrating the brand I love backstage. LeAnn Rimes couldn’t have looked more beautiful, and she could not have been nicer. She said I was a sweetheart and allowed Kristen Blush to take this gorgeous picture of us. I love that we’re both in our silver Badgley Mischka dresses and sporting the blond hair and brown eyes.

Backstage, I was thrilled that Kris got this picture of the Jets owner with her friends…

… and this one of me and one of the models! Kristen and I had a good laugh when I said that I look like a short, fat oompa loompa in this photo!

Before the show starts, the press goes crazy over celebs

When Kristen and I arrived in the Theater at Lincoln Center, we found our seats and kept watch on row 1, where all the celebrities are sitting. Here’s a quick video I grabbed of Audrina Patridge and Victoria Justice being interviewed by the press:

And some star studded snaps I was able to grab:

Showtime!

It goes without saying that everything on the runway was amazing. Like last year, Mark and James presented a mix of items from the Badgley Mischka collection, the Mark + James line, and their accessories and swimwear collections. Pinks, florals, jewels, and jewel tones were a win. Here’s where you can see a slideshow.  I was particularly interested in the see-through gold pants. I also loved the blush colored gown with the bow in front and small cascading flowers, which you can see on the far right in this photo by Blush Photo.

In the spirit of Badgley Mischka fashion, here’s a video where I describe what I’m wearing – Badgley Mischka from head to toe.
