And yes – Simon Baltovic participated in the “Supermarket Sweep” frenzy of high end products, priced out like a dollar store.
During my first run, I made out with 29 pieces at $1.00 a piece. This partially included a Pureology strengthening hair mask, a NARS eye shadow pencil, Mally pieces, Ciate polish, a boar bristle brush, and From the Lab shampoo. I went heavy on haircare.
During my second run, Simon and I would pay $10.00 for whatever we could fit in my bag in 5 minutes. It was awesome. I totally cleaned up, picking up three Glytone products, Sheseido, Clinique, dry oils, Lanza haircare, a delicious lotion that smells like Christmas, and 31 individually packaged samples.
Simon grabbed about 5-7 mens’ pieces. He looked amused. Let me quickly digress… #MyFavoriteBrit gave me the most thoughtful and generous present while we were in line. He bought me a handpainted wine glass at Pike’s Market last week and flew it 3,000 to me in NYC. It’s beautiful. And I was deeply touched.
I Googled every item when I got home. Not counting Simon’s loot, or my stash of 31 samples, my $39.00 investment today bought me 54 items, valued out at $1,067.50.
