Day 23, Year 3: Remembering 9/11 in New York City

I made my yearly 9/11 trip down the Hudson River Green Belt and got my beam shot over the river. However, as I was walking home through Meat Packing, I saw crowds up on a very cool looking roof, and I knew I needed a new photo. I made an impromptu decision to flash my work badge and visit the new Whitney Museum for free.

It was extremely breathtaking and moving to see The Freedom Tower, The Statue of Liberty, and The Empire State Building from the roof. I joined a very hip and fun crowd on the roof’s bar, met #AboveTheBigApple, ordered an Aperol Spritz, and ate the heirloom tomato mozzarella toast.

New Yorkers are so great. I feel honored to live here and to be able to do the things I do. I mean, I did all that during a normal walk home. And on such a touching day.

Let me know what you think...
